Hello, I am trying to make a movie of my family, i import the video from my
DV camcorder w/ a fire wire cable. Everything looks good. And I added a Mp3
to the video for some music. Everything looks and sounds fine. Then when I
choose save to my computer under High Quality video large, and I watch the
video and sounds really bad. What is the best way to save the file? and
should I use WAV. instead of MP3? Also, I have a tv with a 16:9, so should I
create the file with that ratio, or would it compromise the quality? Im just
so confused as to why my quality is so horrible after I save it. And Im
afraid if it looks that back during playback on my computer wont it look even
worse stretched to the size of my tv?

MP3's are not best used in MM - so yes use wav/wma/wmv audio. You can
convert to wav using cdex, a link is here

You could use one of Papajohn's ( www.papajohn.org) ways of saving to 16.9,
but if the original video was shot in 4.3 then it will not look as good if
streched to fill 16.9.
How do you intend to get it to play on your tv?
Does the pc connect to it? By dvd? Send it back to the cam and connect this
to the tv?
If by DVD, then save the file in MM as a dv-avi file

and import this into your dvd authoring software and make you dvd.
Depending on the quality of the authoring software and settings you use then
you shuld get good quality viewing.
