I know this has been talked to death by now but I'm guilty of trusting
that I knew not to open strange attachments and that AVG had worked
100% to date.
I was suckered into the 'returned email' from "mailer daemon" ploy
I just Had to look to see which email had not gone out correctly.
(sigh)

OK I'm a dummy who still uses Outlook express with Eudora on the side
What to do now is what's important .

I Googled the problem and was rewarded with another virus when
applying a DOS fix from Sophos.
AVG did find and get rid of that one easily

What's the best procedure from this point?

Look at:
http://www.Europe.F-Secure.com/v-descs/sobig_f.shtml

Includes a ref. to a removal util.:
http://www.f-secure.com/tools/f-sobig.zip

The .ZIP includes instructions.

It'd help to know if you removed whatever the "reward virus"
was/is.
