Help!!! A friend sent me some pic's via email (she is a
computer dummy also, so I have no idea how she sent them),
and I can't get the email to come up. When I open up
Outlook Express, usually every email that was sent to me
automatically comes up. After at least 6 tries over 3
days time, I have tried to get my emails and it will bring
up the first couple emails then 'work on' getting the one
with the pics in it. It 'works on' this for about an hour
then shuts down saying that there was too much time
without activity. HUH?? Help! How do I just DELETE the
offending pic email so I can get the rest of my email!!????

any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Chris

In future try an OE ng this is an OL ng - different app.
There maybe a setting in OE to not except email over a certain size as I
dont use OE am not sure.
There is such an option in OL.
You could also use web access to log onto yr email account and delete the
offending mail.
If yr ISP does'nt have web accesss try eg: www.mail2web.com

Chris, the emails with the pictures are probably so large your
connection is timing out. I would suggest you look into message rules
and set up a rule that deletes from the server anything with an
attachment or maybe anything at least 500K. This should download the
emails with no attachment and delete from the server the offending
emails sent by your friend.

I keep a rule in place that deletes from the server anything at least
500K.

HTH . . .
