User reported they were unable to browse to www.msn.com. I watched them try
and when the page loaded it was filled with Illegible Characters/Fonts. See
example, (in quotes) below:

"?Qtñ·Ž‰ pUȨÉQ uò±´–PÒ•×7vÖ—w qQ??Q0Ô³P .)ÊŒ.Ñ—w?ʨ))?Ò—///׫7Ö‹/J× Ò¯?b Ò†eê–ƒ??"

These characters fill the entire page. The issue is not profile specific
because I logged in as myself and had the same issue. It appears to be a
Fonts issue but I cannot resolve it. I have found only one discussion group
dealing with this issue and they did not have a fix. I am hoping someone
will see this who knows the exact fix. Please no guessing. Thank you.

Hi Jonny,

Does this happen on other sites? MSN checks your country lcid and redirects
you to the appropiate local server. Check the properties of the MSN homepage
displayed to see if it is your country's local msn provider. If not check
the machines Locale settings (Control Panel > Regional Settings)

Regards.

Rob, thanks for replying. The locale is not the issue. Yes it does occur on
other sites, though, not all of them. I am thinking that Windows is using an
invalid font to translate the web page, but who knows?! MS doesnt have a
single KB on this issue. Oh well.
