According to Babelfish (my understanding of anything Italian stops short of
well, anything remotely Italian...):

"It would appeal to to know to me where to unload the virus in order to
study them"

My response would be:

"I think that trying to study viruses is generally a bad idea unless you are
an expert in that field. There is plenty of research notes out there on
viruses, so it would probably be better to do it that way. "

The babelfish translation gives me:

"Penso che cercare di studiare i virus sia generalmente un'idea difettosa a
meno che siate un esperto in quella materia. Ci è abbondanza delle note di
ricerca fuori là sui virus, in modo da probabilmente sarebbe migliore farla
quel senso.."

Hopefully I have not insulted his whole family and suggest he does something
unsightly!

Knowing no Italian, I took the message to be a form of begging
for virus samples to study (perhaps for a school project).
My response would be:
