iiyama hm2004dt a - screen refresh rate problem

I've recently bought a iiyama hm204dt A.
I have one problem. I use 1600x1200 resolution, and all refresh
frequencies work fine expect for 85Hz? Could you explain what could be
the possible reason for this?
May it be a computer's hardware fault, settings fault or is the monitor
fault.
I am helpless so please try to answer my question.
Computer: Windows XP, geforce fx 5600,
In addition the picture isn't very focused and it seems to be a little
distorted.

What happens when you try 85Hz?

Possibly a monitor defect but I'd look at changing the video
card driver first.

If you had no problems using a different monitor
(previously), and the iiyama's on-screen controls won't
adjust it to your satisfaction, then return it to the
seller. If you have another monitor handy to try in it's
place, that might help to isolate whether it's the monitor
or system.
