How can I install IIS on my Windows XP Home Edition operating system? I've
already tried "Add/Remove Windows Components" in my control panel and it
doesn't list anything titled "Internet Information Services"

If you need IIS, then you'll need to upgrade to Windows XP Professional.
It is not available with Windows XP Home Edition.

IIS is not available for XP Home, only XP Pro.

You can't, IIS can be installed in XP Pro, not XP Home.

But you can install a web server. Check http://httpd.apache.org/ for
the Apache server. It's free and it runs just fine on XP Home. If you
*really, really* need ASP support, then you'll have to upgrade to XP
Pro and use IIS, otherwise Apache will do whatever you need.

What about Xitami or Smbar? Those are easy too
