Hello all,

I am suffering the problem discribed in this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=894351

IIS won't install and complains it can't find staxmem.dll despite it
being there. I have tried method one, and it passes the test, so I am
trying to do method 2.

The problem comes when it says: Put the Windows XP Professional SP2 CD
in the CD drive. At the command prompt, type the following command,
and then press ENTER:
xpsp2 /integrate:Drive:\winxp

I don't have an SP2 CD, I downloaded the update, and there appears to
be no xpsp2.exe anywhere.

Any ideas?

Point to %Systemroot%\ServicePackFiles\i386 for the latest version of that
DLL file.

Regarding XPSP2.exe, it's actually referring to the SP2 Network installer
package, which is actually WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-xxx.exe (if you've
downloaded it from the MS site).

If you are installing SP2 from the CD, the service pack installer file is
called Xpsp2.exe. If you are downloading SP2 from the Microsoft Web site,
the installer file is called WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-xxx.exe (xxx stands for
a specific language code, such as ENU for English). Both installer files are
identical, they just have different names.

If you are downloading SP2 from the Web, for the purposes of this document,
use WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-xxx.exe wherever you see Xpsp2.exe.
