Hello,

Since my win2k pro didn't include the IIS, I asked a
friend to make a copy for me-- now I don't really know how
to get it installed at the proper place in the computer.

Should I simply copy the folder and paste it under
C:\USER\MY DOCUMENTS\MY WEBS or it elsewhere or maybe is
it even a 3-step setup process?

Could u help?

thanks

This isn't going to work. You cannot copy IIS from another machine. Just go
into Add/remove programs and then Add/remove windows components and add IIS.
It is a part of Win2k Pro.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.
Problem is, I followed the instructions you outlined, but
each time it asks me to insert the Win2k CD-ROM, which I
don't have.

[The OS was pre-installed in the laptop]

What should I do then?

You will need the Windows 2000 CD. What are you going to do when this
computer crashes. You are eventually going to need this CD regardless.
