primopdf at www.primpdf.com is free and excellant..
In fact a MVP posted it on the microsoft word newsgroup and he said it
worked great so i wanted to try it out.
I put it on 4 xp machines and it does a great job. It doesn't leave
advertising like alot of free pdf makers and you can actually set up
security with it too in its options.
I have adobe 8.0 reader on and it opens the pdfs just fine.
It creates a virtual pdf printer and works in word and excel (where i tested
it so far) and i had no problems with it at all.
check it out- i am sure you will be pleased as I am.
