Is It Possible to make a GIF File Like One Huge GIF File As your Desktop Background. Istead of a picture that is.

You've totally lost me there? You want to set a gif file as your desktop background?

No, I don't think you can use animated gifs unfortunately. Windows Vista Ultimate can use "DreamScene" though to play movies as a background if that is any use, although the Ultimate Version is very expensive.

Really?! You can use an animated gif as a background?

edit: Was this using active desktop (i.e. an HTML page) as thats the only way I can think of getting round it.

Well, actually you could have an animated background in Win95 using IE4 using .HHT or was that .HTT ... it became easier when MS started there "active desktop" crap, we all used to turn off because it crashed so much, especially in WinME.

You can do it in XP, you need some spare power ... there used to be a website where you could download such "wallpapers" but I don't think it exists anymore.

Of course, there are "programs" around that will do it for you. ;)
