If this is beta, what's next?

What is the planned future? I have a large number of users
in the field who I want to deploy to, but roll-out is
contingent on where this product is going. Will it
continue to be free? Any recomended way of deploying this
across the enterprise without one-at-a-time visits? How
about a deploy tool such as for patchs?

This is a beta version. The final version will be free to
licensed Windows users.

For the enterprise is going a be co$t.

They've announced--I can get you both spoken and written citations, if you
want--that there will be a version for individuals, unmanaged, which won't
cost anything beyond your valid Windows license. There will also be a
managed, deployable version for the Enterprise, which will not be free.
Beyond that, they haven't said anything. If you are interested in
beta-testing the commercial version, and have a Microsoft TAM or other
contact--the route towards finding out more about any future test would be
through that contact.

Same Here. What is the plan for post-beta? Will this
become a "Windows Update" product, or will we be
purchasing this product?

The capabilities we are beta-testing will be available without additional
cost to licensed Windows customers.

Thanks Bill. The enterprise version is my concern... good
news if it will be managed. I've got Satellite and dialup
users, I've got users who connect through the internet and
I have others who connect directly to our local networks
with no internet access. So it will be interesting to see
what kind of management framework will emerge and what
kind of performance issues we will have to deal with.
Atleast there is some movement with the product.

Thanks again.
