Hello.
I have a device and a driver for it. (this is a PCI pnp device and my
very first driver
for it)
I explicitly point the wizard to the driver's directory to install.
However, Hardware Update Wizard reports "wizard cannot find the
necessary software".
I know that device works and its enumerator string is there in the INF
file
(the string "%E1PCI_DESC%=e1_pci,PCI\VEN_1744&DEV_2415" is in the
MFG/SIGT section)
So, what? Where to look for the problem?
Do wizard have anythig like log file so I could find the reason for
install failure?
Or is there any other way to to make ends meet?
(maybe correct VEN/DEV is not sufficient? )
Please sugest
Thank you.
