If Statement Problems

Whats up guys -
while i can do the rudamentary things on excel, apparantly the logi
functions are just above me i geuss.

here is the problem:

i have a chart dealing with hours and hourly rates. the next column i
for salary.

Hrs Hourly Regular
Worked Pay Salary
43 $5.65
35 4.00
45 5.75
25 6.75
51 3.50

Calculate Regular Salary in Column F (40 hours or Less) - Use an I
Statement

but i have tried again and again and i just continue to get an error
initally i tried "f8>e8*d8 .. but that doesnt work .. my problem i
that im confused on how im supposed to test if its true or false whe
EVERY example i have found on the internet shows yes/no or somethin
and i need number.

i actually got it by saying 40<=e8 or whatever it was ... (as th
logic).. and hten went from there. but i dont understand what min mean
...

im sorry. im a total newb:rolleyes

MIN returns the mimimum of the values in this function.<In this case
either the cell value or 40
