Anyone else have this issue. If the printer (Canon Pixma MP130) is on, the
Vista PC will not restart. It gets to the BIOS screen and then you get a
black screen with a flashing DOS-like "_. " Once you turn off the printer,
Windows Vista starts. Any ideas?

In the BIOS make sure any options to do with booting from USB are disabled.
Alternatively remove any memory cards from the printer if it has that
capability.

Try connecting the printer to another USB port. I have built-in ports and
extra ports from an add-in card. By changing to one or another of the ports
I can usually solve for problems like this. You may be able to also.
