Hi all. First, let me say that I did a search for my problem, but did
not find much that would help. I have WinXP Home, SP-2 installed, all
updates installed. 2 months ago I downloaded Photo Story 3, installed
it, created several stories, and all worked without a flaw. Now as I
open Photo Story, I get to the second window where it asks to "Import
Pictures" and there is a message at the top stating that "The File
Browser not responding". At this point all I can do is
Control>Alt>Delete, to end the Task, it's locked up. Some times it will
import 2-3 pictures, and sometimes it will only begin to load one
picture before it locks up. I did the Add/Remove, re-installed it, same
response. I un-installed it a second time, re-downloaded it, installed
the new one, same response. Drive is less than 1/2 full, full meg of
memory, and as I say, it worked without a flaw. Windows Movie Maker
works great right now. Have I wrecked Photo Story? Could it be a REG
edit condition, or perhaps a new WinXP update? Tried to go back and
restore to an earlier date, same response. Does Photo Story use an
independent Browser of its own? Would anyone have an idea what could be
causing this? Could not find usergroup for PhotoStory. Big Thanks.

I cannot recall seeing this issue before,
what version of Internet Explorer are you
running? What have you installed/updated
since the last time Photo Story 3 worked
as expected?

I had same problem. I followed this method

Rather than clicking Import Pictures, you can open the folder where
your pictures are located, click the pictures you want to import, and
then drag them to the Import and arrange your pictures page. You
cannot, however, drag picture files with the following file name
extensions to the Import and arrange your pictures page: .tga, .psd,
..eps, .pcd, and .pcx. You must click the Import Pictures button to
import those files.

Thanks, I'll give it a try and see what happens.
