Windows XP If its Google UK why not default to UK then ?

Well then ?

Thanks Guys for the total lack of response here.

I now know the answer if anyone ellse wants to know do a reply in this thread,

Sorry tellboy, didn't see this thread - not that I know the answer anyway:o - maybe no-one else here does either!

I use the google toolbar all the time for searches, so I don't need the homepage.

Why bother with just the UK ... when most of the time I need to search the World. :D

oh, and we don't always "see" a thread

In Conclusion

Yes guess it is just me Mucks bit just seemed that I spent a lot of time clicking over to UK search and it does have a UK logo.

The solution was to set this as my home page.
http://www.google.co.uk/webhp?cr=countryUK|countryGB

The radio button is then in UK.

Please someone tell me that this is a "dead handy tip or I will feel my wife is right about my obsessions of accuracy and logic and that I really am exactly like the guy who plays the odd detective called Monk BBC2 Saturday Afternoons. (But not every Saturday afternoon here I go .............)

Nice one :thumb: Tellboy:D

Yes she has but just like Detective Monk she notes that my slight OCD makes looking at a single sentence with 3 font sizes a bit disturbing.

Must go and straighten something around the house !

Thanks

Hmmm, well, now then ... if I type www.google.com in Firefox's address bar I get www.google.co.uk come up :D

Mine you, I usually just use Google's toolbar and am not really concerned where I am, as long as it finds what I'm looking for.

Haven't a clue who Monk is. ;)

Mucks. Very Odd so it does ! It didnt do that last week I am sure. Still defaults to Web Search and not UK default though. (I am pleased to find after all the correspondence in this thread)

http://www.google.com/intl/en/

Seems to give the old com version now I think

er i am overly impressed with that. I might be about to get sacked but it was worth comming to work just to see that. Thanks mate.
