if I select \Tools\Send Recieve fromt he Outlook Toolbar any email residing
in my inbox will be deleted. How do I remedy this? Thank You
 
Impossible to say. You provided no information.
Start with your Outlook version, Email account type, Email account
configuration, and the filters applied to your Inbox view. --
