list on Outlook 2000? The list is in a .txt file. Thanks Tracy

Russ:
So there is no way to create a distribution list with just an email address
besides cutting and pasting each individually? Thanks Tracy

You mean this only a simple text list of email addresses? No names or any
other identifying information with which you could create Contacts? No way.

I don't know if you will call it easy, But you can copy
text and past into a single cell in your Excel program.
Then use Data/text to column/delimited and set your
seperater; comma, space, or what ever. Name the range
Insert/Name/Define. Then you can use Outlook to Import
data. You might want to create a seperate folder in your
contacts folder. Then in Outlook go to File/Import/From
another program/Excel/Browse to your saved doc. At this
point you map the field you want to put your data in. You
can import any of the info Outlook might use. Such as
phone numbers or addresses. I hope this is helpful and not
too difficult. This works well for all those addresses in
the silly email that gets forwarded. Jack
