I went to a site that started spawining tons of popup
windows until it hosed IE6. Now whenever I start IE6 I get
a messages saying "the instruction at 0x782f3439 referenced
memory at 0x00165633. The memory couldn't be read.

I've tried reinstalling, defragging, running chkdsk /f to
no avail. Any ideas how to fix?

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
