iexplore will not open

when I try to open Internet Explorer, i get the following
message:

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Error log displays the following:

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2660.0 ModName: msiw.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000143ce

I have tried to repair Internet Explorer through control
panel, no luck. Any ideas. Thanks
 
Same symptoms, but my error log shows
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName:
winshow.dll
ModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 00009901

Any suggestions?

You might try the fix that worked for me that Clint gave
me on my post titled "need HELP badly" at 5:18 this
morning. Good Luck.
