Hi Pierre :-)

Try the information here and see if it helps:

IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in SHLWAPI.DLL
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/archive/answers.htm#shlwapi

also...

Some programs load copies of two DLL files, 'Shlwapi.dll' and 'Urlmon.dll'
into one of its subdirectories. Then when you run it, these versions may
conflict with the ones in the
'C:\windows\system\' folder. The fix is simply to rename the files in the
program subdirectory as described below

Try these steps:

1. Click START \ Find \ Files or Folders
2. Type 'Shlwapi.dll' (without quotes) and click 'Find Now'
3. You should come up with at least two copies of the file. One will be in a
Windows subdirectory - it's the good one. The other will be in 'C:\Program
Files\(program folder name)\(subdirectory name). It's the one causing the
problem. Right click it with the mouse and select 'Rename' from the menu
that comes up. Write down the exact file name and then rename it to
'Shlwapi.old' and click 'OK'
4. Still in the 'Find' box: Type in 'Urlmon.dll' and click 'Find Now'. Again
you will find two copies. Write down the exact file name and the click the
one in the program folder subdirectory and rename it to 'Urlmon.old'. Close
the 'Find Files' dialog box.

See it that works. If not, then change the files back to their original
name.

While it is possible to just drag the second set of files to the recycle
bin, I prefer to recommend renaming files rather then deleting them when
possible, at least until I am sure all will work properly before doing so.

Hope this helps.

Why are you assuming that?
What version is it?
What version of Windows?
What maintenance on IE?

process explorer from sysinternals.com is showing that to me

IE is a fresh install/upgrade with win2k (full updates) under it

yes, there is Real Player on it
