I guess it is the same as :
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe -nohome
do you have your home page blank when having this switch on.
HTH.

Hi John,
Why you asking about and where you did find this switch?.
Scan for malwares on your system if you didn't put this switch to your
iexplore.exe.
HTH.
Please let us now the aim behind the Q.

I found that switch in a website and in some newsgroup threads.
I noticed if I launch iexplore.exe with a non-existent switch, IE opens
the page:

http://-switch

Example. If I run iexplore.exe with a non-existent switch (eg. -hello),
IE loads:

http://-hello

Otherwise, if the switch exists (eg. -new, -nohome, etc.) IE executes
that switch.
If I run:

iexplore.exe -nohome
IE does not load the home page.

iexplore.exe -nowait
IE does apparently nothing.

John
