Iexplore.exe hangs with Event ID 1002 Category (101)

Internet Explorer hangs when opening and sometimes gives
the above error in the Application log. All settings have
been defaulted and work on other systems on the same
net. Page will eventually come up but takes minutes for
a window to open, even when the homepage is set to blank.
 
Thanks, I'll give that a try, but we have to use spybot.
