Check out my replies to Rob Scalise last week for some tips
on diagnosing similar symptoms. You need to accumulate a lot
more detail to get a better understanding of your symptom.

FWIW I don't have your OS but just checked to see if I had anything
loaded at 0x74AC0000 anyway and found nothing even in the vicinity.

So, unless you do have a Microsoft module loaded there normally
the likely explanation would it that it is due to third-party incompatibility.

I spoke to a dell tech and he informed me that it is possible that an
application is trying to access the memory that is allocated to a different
resouce. Anyway he told me to uninstalled service pack 1 and reinstalled it.
Since I have done this the problem has not rose its ugly head again. Hope
this helps you.

One implication of your results then could be that you have
some third-party programs still running which were incompatible
with the security changes included in the service pack.
And if those incompatible programs are malware they would probably
be exploiting the holes that the security changes have since filled.

So, unless you think the idea of parasites coexisting in your
machine is acceptable, it may be worth your while to try
to diagnose the cause of your crashes and check for the
presence of them.
