I believe this is a virus or trojan, my computer is running very slow. I have
scanned with symantec client server, ad-aware and spybot but I am unable to
remove it. Any help would be great.

It's not. It may be about a virus. But this is just windows recording of what files an application access on startup so it can start it faster next time. But this is Internet Explorer.

Hi johnjaytee,

As David has stated, this cannot be the bug as it is a prefetch file, which
is nothing more than recorded information about a file's behavior. The
actual bug that the file may be recording information about is elsewhere on
the system. As this is Internet Explorer being referenced, the problem may
be a plugin and these can be disabled by the "manage add-ons" area on the
Programs tab of Internet Options.

Personally, I would download and update AdAwareII, then restart in Safe mode
and run it.

AdawareII www.lavasoft.de

How to start in Safe mode:

By the way, if you want to clear prefetch folder, you can. The system will
simply start rebuilding the information.
