Trying to browse these groups at work, I may have missed this question, one I
found offered a solution that didn't work.
Most web pages error out with above error message. I had IE6.0, saw the
solution to download service pack for 5.5, so I unloaded 6.0, loaded 5.5,
then the service pack and had no luck. I'm a bit befuddled on what to do
next. If anyone can address this again, I would be very appreciative. Also
since I can't access this site from home, if you would copy any comments to
my email, that would be great also!

sorry about that.
1. Iexplore has caused an error in Mshtml.dll. Iexplore will now close.
Iexplore has caused an error in Kernel32.dll. Iexplore will now close.
2. ME
3. Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 and Internet Tools for Windows Me
4. Norton 2000, I had to uninstall and reinstall it a couple months back
due to a conflit with Outlook, and was starting in safemode, but I didn't
ever run it in safemode.
5. Never ran anti-spy in safemode.
Is there any reason I shouldn't install IE6.0.2800.1106. If ok, do I
install it and let it remove the 5.5 ver. currently loaded?

Thanks for your quick reply.

I worry abut Norton being so old, but your answers to 1 and 5 cause me to
more suspect spyware.
First eliminate any spyware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:
