In certains sites, when I try to salve a page in htm
format, I receive a error message like this: "The web page
cannot be to salve in the selected local". In other sites,
no problems. Any idea about what happens? Thank´s for all.

Some pages are encoded in such a way that it doesn't allow for that process.
In such instances either save it to your favorites, and then cut and paste
(or move) it to your desired location. Often you may save a page by clicking
the icon on the upper left of the browser page and drag it to the folder
(which must be present on the taskbar). The minimized folder will "fly open"
and then drag it into that folder.

Another thing. That may or may not work depending on what you mean. What do
you mean? In the subject your typed .mht. In your post you typed htm.

Also FYI: Saving a page as an .mht page uses up far more Bytes than does
saving the shortcut. It also uses up more than saving as a "web page
complete (.htm .html)" as well, although admittedly it is far less a
nuisance than dragging around both a file and a folder.

Indeed, I typed wrong in the post. The correct is .mht.

I salve the pages in this format for repass it through e-
mails. To salve like a shortcut not is interessant for me.

This problem not occurs in the past.
When I upgrade my browser to 6.0 SP2 this situation begin.
I so very grateful for your attention.

Try using File, Send, Page by E-mail and then save it as .mht

The last time I had your problem saving KB articles that worked for me.

Robert has offered an answer which may remedy the problem you are
experiencing, and has said this has worked for him under similar instances
as those you've undergone.

For me, I simply add the shortcut URL to a letter and let the recipient
click the link. Works for me. ;-)

Error Message: This Web Page Could Not Be Saved

Incidentally, the above page saved in various formats:
Saved as a shortcut = 358 Bytes
Saved as .mht file = 139 KB
Saved as Web Page Complete (htm.) - two components = 96.4 KB folder + 28.6
KB file = 125 KB

Make sure your security updates to OE6 are up to date. There was one
early this year or late last that fixed (mostly) this problem, which had
been caused by an earlier update.

Good luck,
Joe
