IE's popup windows will not open!!

Mike

I had Popup Stopper Pro installed, but the shift/control
key shortcut stopped functioning and I can't get popups to
load that I need (Outlook Web Client windows) or any other.

I have unloaded PopUp Stopper and search and removed all
references to it from the resistry and deleted the folder
it was installed in.

Still does not work!

Popups in other browsers do work (netscape/opera).

Help!!

Re-install it and this time exit ( Close ) it and
Uninstall it from the add/remove or use the Uninstall that
came with it. It probably left some of it's settings in
place.

Hi Mike,

Checkpoints:

IE/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and uncheck the option
to Enable third party browsing extensions, restart IE.

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Then go to:
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Hyperlinks not opening:

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 actxprxy.dll and then repeat the
process for regsvr32 shdocvw.dll.

Check your settings here: Modify for Outlook

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit.

Under Application used to perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

The "Open in a New Window" Command May Not Work. Go to Start/Run and type
each of these in:

regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll

Check your settings here: Start/Run/Regedit

To remove it manually go to: Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar

To have it removed automatically, run this edit:

Remove Added IE Toolbar Entries (Line 174)

Clear Entries from Tools

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Extensions

Select each subkey and look at its MenuText value in the right-hand pane.
When you locate the menu item, delete the entire subkey.
