ieee1394b fully functional in PCs ?

1394 in a intel based pc is at best a workaround...

the 1394 standard is from apple and that is basically the only place
where you will see it in all its glory...

the pc version uses translation through the pci bus and older machines
simply dont transfer anything that fast.
