I'm seem to be unable to capture from my Panasonic Digital Video Camcorder
using the IEEE1394 port using MM on my XP HomeEdition computer. The PC seems
to recognize the camcorder, but when I try to capture I get either "Class not
registered" or "An unknown error has occurred". Capture via USB seems to work
ok, but dark picture. I've tried several different progams, different
IEEE1394 boards, different cables, and even a different Panasonic (same model,
PV-GS19). Different programs give me different errors, capture driver
missing, defective, etc.
Device Manager shows the camera working ok. Driver detail for the IEEE entry
reads "VIA OHCI Compliant 13944 Host Controler,
c:\Windows\system\DRIVERS\1394bus.sys" For the Imaging Device-Panaonic DV
Camcorder, "Windows\system32\drivers\ks.sys".
Anyone got some advice?
