Hello,
I am running WIndows XP Pro. At the beginning of the
month, I installed a new harddrive and started over from
scratch. I installed all my motherboard drivers at that
time.
On Sunday, my firewire connections were working fine. I
am running an Epson 2200 printer, a Delkin CF card reader
and a Fuji S2 Pro digital camera on the firewire ports.
On Monday, I went to read from the card reader and my
computer is not seeing any devices connected to the
firewire ports. It is seeing the firewire ports.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the card, and
also tried an different firewire card. Same story with
the second card, it sees the card, installs it, but I
can't see any devices plugged into it.
I have tried going back to restore points, but that did
not help.
My mother board is an ASRock, with an AMD 2400 processor,
1gig of memory on the board.
I am set up for automatic windows updates, last updates
were on Saturday and the firewire stuff was working on
Sunday.
Any ideas? Anyone?
Thank you and have a great day,
Tim
