Hi All,

In IEAK6 you can customize Outlook Express. One one of the
configuration pages, there is an option to "Make server names read
only" this is for the incoming POP3 server and outgoing SMTP server.

Does anyone know which registry key making the server names read only
effects? I can see where the server names are written to in the
registry but I cant see what key prevents changes to these names.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Account
Manager\Accounts\00000001\POP3 Server

Hi Goo,

You will find the IEAK newsgroup at
news://microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.ieak

Quick answer. Create a script with the settings you want to change with
IEAK. Open the resultant .ins file which will contain the registry keys that
it changes under HKLM\Software\Policies etc..... which reflects the HKLM or
HKCU keys that are changed when the policy is applied.

Regards.

Thansk, I eventually found the key that the IEAK sets at ;

HKU\UID\Software\Microsoft\Internet Account Manager\Accounts\00000\
It's a registry dword called "Server Read Only" 1=readonly 0=read/write

Cheers
