Did an automatic update & got the latest version of IE.
But it is so slow & takes ages to load a page!
May just ditch it and use FF or Opera.

Has anyone else had problems?

It's nice and zippy for me here :). I wonder if it could be related to a plugin that is somehow slowing browsing down? I know some AV packages have IE/FF plugins which can slow the browsers down a little, but Opera/Chrome don't always have AV plugins written for them which may mean it's faster.

If you go to Tools > Manage Addons you should be able to see the load/run time of plugins and see if anything stands out :).

Cheers for that Ian.
Thiings moving a bit quicker now.
I had forgotten about tools>addons in kaspersky!:o

Sticking with IE8 and FF4 :thumb:

I've got it installed on my media machine only which is using Vista 32 Bit Home Premium; Antivir; SuperAntiSpyware & Malwarebytes and it seems fast enough. Mind you, I can't find anything on it, why do Microsoft insist on moving things about and then insisting it's better?

I'm starting to get haggled by Microsoft again to install IE9 on Win 7. No! Go away! It says 'Important update available' No it isn't - go boil your bottom Steve Ballmer and leave me alone.

Also, if you do use IE9, dont use the x64 version. ;)

Yes, I tried it and it was very slow.

Went back to IE8. :)

I first ran into issues with IE8 on XP , so I had to have one of my buddies who is a tech remote and take it out so I could get 7 back
:)
