Most likely not. You'll only surf as fast as your internet speed will allow
basically.

Highly unlikely. New versions of IE provide better features and
security, and do little if anything for surfing speed.

Dial-up is very slow, regardless of what software you use. If you're
looking for a speed improvement, you should spring for DSL or cable
service.

If we could get it we would, we live in a rural area no cable or DSL. My ISP
does have WiFi.

No IE 8 will not help you load web pages faster. What it will do is improve
security with added enhanced security features. it will not help load pages
faster or quicker. Especially since you are on dial up. I would urge you
strongly to go to high speed internet or DSL as it is probably the same price
or cheaper than dial up if you look around. Then you will get more speed and
pages will load faster. Each page is designed differently, most web designers
design their pages to load quickly optimized for Internet Explorer but if
there are a lot of pictures, etc then it will load slow. Let me know if this
helps so I can improve my services
Besat Regards,
Kaja
