IE8 Surfing

Running Windows XP Professionas SP3. I downloaded IE8 and everything, except
one, seems to be working fine. Entering a URL in the Address window brings up
the requested web page. However, when entering a URL in the RUN box from the
START menu when IE8 is not open, I get a "Windows cannot find the file..."
message. Whoever entering from the RUN command when IE8 is open, I get the
page. In IE7, the page would open from the RUN command without IE open. I
verified this by uninstalling IE8, going back to IE7, then reinstalling IE8.
I'm sure there is just an option setting to cure this, but I don't know
where.

This works fine for me on Vista, but your question would get more support on
a newsgroup dedicated either to Windows XP or IE8. This group is for .Net
programming questions.
