good day all,

since i installed ie8, usual that i have problems with existing things. for
one, when i closed ie7 browser, it gave me the option of checking a box that
would open current tabs when i restarted. but with ie8, it has eliminated
that - is there a way to restore this ?

thanks

Hi Dallas,& Newsgroup
I installed IE8 BETA in the last stages from current release 3days. I have 2
desktops + laptop all running xp pro
all networked.. I promtly uninstalled ,back to IE7.
I note your using similar system as I am, mine is 5 yr old something,
running very well.
Dell Dimension 4600 P4 3 ghz 1.5mb ram, I have seen many of you postings

thanks very much deejaydee as i may well do the same thing, esp. since no
one here seems to have a fix.it has also messed with my kb's hot keys & a
few other minor issues. i still feel ms, rather than clean up everyday
things that should be dealt with, they want to keep expanding by sacrificing
every day things.

thanks again

In IE8 look under the Tools menu and click on Reopen Last Browsing Session.

Take a look at the bottom section of this article.

thanks so much nepatsfan but for now, i liked the ie7 where when opened,
they all opened automatically. if i may trouble you, how do i revert back to
ie7 ? if i unsitall ie8, will it default, or will i need to reinstall ie7 ?

to show my age, i was a pats fan back in the days when they were called the
boston patriots w/ the likes of steve grogan, randy vataha, the great tight
end, russell, hmm, his last name escapes me - think he may have been
hawaiian or samoan ? & think he wore # 81, the rb sam the bam cunningham,
etc.!

thanks & have a great sunday !

I've installed and reinstalled IE8 a few times and had no problems. It's
gone right back to IE7.

To be on the safe side I uninstalled an update for IE8 first. After you open
Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel, make sure there's a check in the
box next to "Show updates" at the top of the window. There may be an entry
titled "Update for Windows Internet Explorer 8 (KB968220). Remove the update
first, then uninstall IE8.

Since were owning up to our ages here, I went to my first Pats game at the
old stadium when the players you listed were with the team in the mid to
late 1970s. They were already the New England Patriots by then, having
changed the name when they first moved to Foxboro, MA in 1971.

The tight end you're thinking of is Russ Francis and he did wear #81. He was
a pretty good player who had the misfortune of being called "All World" by
Howard Cossell.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
