I don't know what I've done but I wondered if someone could help me with
this annoying problem.
When I call up a webpage from 'Favourites' the IE8 page with toolbars appear
maximised as normal. The actual webpage though is now squashed into the top
left hand side of the page still exposing most of the desktop. I've tried to
change the zoom but all that does is make the text in the squashed box
larger. If I minimise the webpage and then maximise then the page displays
correctly but I am sure that there is a setting I must be able to change
(but even after trying different things for ages about can't find it).
Many thanks

Any window you want to resize permanently must be the /last/ window closed.

Grab the corners of the window and drag it to full screen size. Do not use
Maximize. Close all other windows first via the Taskbar and this one last.
Windows will remember the *last* screen size used the next time you open the
program.

Are you using a tablet system ?

No, it's a standard desktop. I can't actually resize the page because
although the IE8 page is full sized and spreads across the screen as normal
the actual webpage that it is displaying is about a quarter size lengthwise
and about an inch in height thus also showing most of the desktop. There are
no toolbars or maximise/minimise/close boxes on the displayed webpage (even
after scrolling), that would have been my first call and I would have been
able to repair it easily.
Thanks

Well, look who's back...It's the phony MVP with his phony MVP web page,
and still stealing other people's software and calling it were his own.

Patrick is well-known in these newsgroups. Don't be taken in.
