Hi Group,
I apologise if I am posting in the wrong group but I can't see an IE7
newsgroup.

I have a laptop (Acer aspire) running XP pro sp3, which I am trying to
assimilate into my network and online.
I have gone through the network setup a number of time and each time I get
the same result.

My local area status shows I'm connected (also showing packets sent) however
I can't get anything received and of course no contact with the network or
the web.

I feel that there might be a setting wrong somewhere or perhaps a fault on
the board.

Please can someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance to all those that take the time to give a sensible reply.

David.
