I've heard that IE7 will be "pushed" by Microsoft, even for folks who do not
have automatic updates selected. So, am reposting this to see if anyone
knows anything about this. Did a restore to IE6 and problem went away, so
it appears to be IE7. Any solution?

Using FP2002 with XP Pro. Recently "upgraded" to Internet Explorer 7.

Am not sure if the upgrade is the reason, but now when I attempt to open
webs on my localhost, I am asked for a password and login. -This was not
the case before -the webs would simply open. I can not seem to find a
password/login that works either.

I am running with administrative privs. and did not designate a login
password.

Any suggestions?

If you don't have automatic updates selected, IE7 cannot be "pushed".

It will not be offered via automatic updates for several weeks after its
initial public release.

If you do have automatic updates selected, it will require human
intervention to accept the download or deny it.

Thanks Tom
Are you aware of any compatability problems with IE7 that might result in
the problems I described below? Any suggested fixes or workarounds?
