Hey...
cant' find out how to turn OFF the yellow warning that continues to say
"your security settings put your computer at risk..."

can someone tell me how? oh, and yes, I know what I'm doing and yes I know
that this is risky..but SURELY there must be a way to totally let IE run the
web...without these annoying notices???

Jim

PS a pointer to more ways to 'fix' IE7 would also be appreciated!!!

The next time you see the yellow bar, click on the yellow bar. You know, as
it says: "Click here for options...". One of the options is labeled, "More
information". Click on that and you get a pop up. Mine as a list which
includes:

[+] When will I see the Information bar?
[+] How do I use the Information bar?
[+] Can I turn off the Information bar?

You want to click on that last one, and follow the instructions provided.

The easiest way to 'fix' IE7 is to stop using it altogether, and use another
browser instead. Mozilla Firefox is a good one. Or you could try SeaMonkey
for a complete browser suite (including an email/news client). I have Opera
set as my default browser.

If you must use MSIE7, you probably want to check the Help files. You could
actually learn a thing, or two, by going through those.
