I just upgraded to IE7 and notice that the "Search Pane" is gone. Are there
any add-ons that will make a search pane work on the left side just like
IE6? Is there an option in IE7 to enable this feature?

Without the search pane, IE7 is useless.

Thanks for any info.

Hi Scott,

Just posted Homepage replacements for the IE7 search pane on my site
http://www.iecustomizer.com
For IE7 you will need to enable the option on the Advanced tab of Internet
Options for 'Enable websites to use the search pane*'

Regards.

What exactly does the option "Enable websites to use the search pane" do?

I installed your ie7 widget, but i can't really see that it does much. i'm
trying to find a way to display search results within ie7 in a split pane on
the left, just like IE6 had.

If someone creates such an add-in, they will make a mint.

You could ask your question in the correct newsgroup.
