IE7 RSS Feed Button

How do I get the button on my site to automatically detect my rss feed.
I am using RSS 2.0 and I tried adding <link rel="alternate"
type="application/rss+xml" title="Jaybird: Endless Boundaries (RSS
2.0)" href="http://www.endlessboundaries.com/rss/newsfeed.xml"> but no
luck. What am I missing?
