IE7 ready for prime-time?

David

I'm now getting pestered to update my browser to IE7 (just like I was
pestered to install SP2). Before I take the plunge, I was interested in
getting a sense from the community whether they felt IE7 was
ready-for-prime time. Any comments and headache reports would be much
appreciated!

OS: Windows XP Home Version 2002 SP2
System: AMD Athlon XP 2000+, 1658 MHz
Memory: 1280MB

Thanks in advance,
David

Yes, it's ready. But some folks do have issue with it. So, be prepared to
"fall back" to IE6 if issues do occur. You can double check with other
browsers to ensure yourself that it's a browser issue.

so it's easy to go back?

Yes, just a couple of steps: Control Pane >> Add/Remove programs if it
didn't work and you back on track with IE6.
HTH.

No. Just like IE6, it still fails to pass basic validation testing. With
any version of IE, you're more likely to experience problems browsing web
sites not designed specifically for IE.
