IE7 rants

anyone actually like the new skin for IE7? I wish they would at least
put an option to allow the continued use of the old skin. do what ever
security updates you want but let me use the version i like or at least
have the option to go back to the old look.

now i have two search bars taking up space on my screen, the yahoo
tool bar plus the microsoft add on. i could get rid of the yahoo bar
but then i would lose the spyware and pop up buttons that i use. no
option to get rid of the microsoft one.

I can live without the tabs bar, nice feature is being able to pull
them all up and see which one you want, but i got a bar at the bottom
of my screen that lets me pick them two, and it is rare that i have
more than 2 or 3 open at a time.

anyway my 2cents worth, maybe i will have to try out another
browser. does netscape still exist?

IE7 rants should be directed to the IE7 newsgroup.
I see in http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx that
the recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:

There are numerous free shells for IE that are a big improvement over IE. I've been using Avant for years and
love it. Maxthon is another popular choice. Check out this Microsoft sponsored site for them:
