I am having problems with IE7 as detailed in the subject heading. When
multiple tabs are open, and I close IE7 - selecting, 'close all tabs' I get a
'program stopped responding' dialogue box and the option of closing the
dialogue or repair and restart the application.

has anybody else encountered this error?

What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop and choose Start Without
Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons).

Frank,

IE7 does not appear on my desktop, only on the quick start menu. If I try
and create a shortcut for IE7 on my desktop I also create a desktop.ini file
which has the following in it!

[LocalizedFileNames]
Launch Internet Explorer Browser.lnk=@%windir%\System32\ie4uinit.exe,-733

Also, the error report in the window which offers to fix and restart IE7 has
the following data in in.
