I just starting having this issue with one use with Ie7. When the user
launches IE7 for the first she's suppose to be redirected to the runonce page
and setup the otions for IE7. Instead she's getting a nerror message:

An HTP error occurred while getting:

http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx
Details: "connection timed out"

Any idea on this or how I can configure IE7?

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

As for this issue, firstly, I would like to recommend that you to modify
IE7.0 redirection address to another website address, like
www.microsoft.com, to see if it works.

You can refer to the below steps to modify Windows IE7.0 redirection
address:

1. Open Command Prompt in your Start menu, and input "gpedit.msc"( without
quotation mark) to open Group Policy.

2. Navigate to User Configuration->Administrator Templates-> Windows
Components->Internet Explorer. Please look up the " Prevent performance of
First Run Customize settings" in the right panel and double click it and
choose 'Enable' option. Finally, input a valid website address in the
blanket of 'select you choice' and 'Ok' to save your changes.

If "Connection timeout" problem still exists, probably, you should check
your networking configuration further.

I am looking forward to your feedback. If anything is unclear, please be
free to post back and I am happy to be of further assistance.

Thanks & Regards,

Sincerely

I have had exactly the same problem over the past few days while setting up
some new computers and also an established machine as a test. Be patient and
keep trying with a new browser instance, it will eventually get through. If
you also have problems with "save settings" start over with a new browser
instance.
I've also received "the server is too busy" page. Maybe someone in the know
can answer that one.
