I am running vistas sp1 I am unable to open IE unless I right click and run
as admin. hyperlinks don't work either. shouldn't have to do this. if I turn
off UAC it works though, but do not want to. help please since I can not
unistall and reinstall.

Internet explorer is not listed there. I can ge to add ons by other means
though and will try it. Already reset the advanced tab with no luck.

Have you tried running Inernet Explorer without any add-ons? The
particular behaviour you mention could be caused by a bad add-on, or
malware (which would explain that IE7 will only run in Administrator
mode).

To start Internet Explorer without any add-ons, do the following:

- Click Start
- Click "All Programs"
- Click "Accessories"
- Click "System Tools"
- Click "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)"If this works, then the hard part is yet to come - figuring out exactly
which add-on is causing this behaviour.
