IE7 Freezes

IE7 freezes when I try to launch a link (shortcut) to a web sit (e.g. a
shortcut to www.google.com). I have to free it with the Task Manager.
However, if I copy the URL into Start/Run then IE7 launches fine. I cannot
figure this out and would appreciate some idea. The problem does not occur
all the time. Thanks...

What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop and choose Start Without
Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons).
