IE7 displays blank page when clicking on PDF link (contrary to IE6

I have the full version of Acrobat 5.0 installed. Since I upgraded from IE6
to IE7 (release version), I can no longer view PDF files from the browser.
Instead, I must right-click on the link, download the file, and view it using
Acrobat. I tried reinstalling Acrobat but to no avail. I fear that installing
Acrobat Reader 8 would create problems with the full version of Acrobat 5.0;
am I right? Could it be that the problem could only be solved by installing
Acrobat 7 or 8, and that previous versions do not interact correctly with
IE7? Thanks in advance for any help.
